Bologna Guglielmo Marconi International Airport (BLQ) - Guide to Bologna (BLQ) Airport

Bologna's buses are reasonably priced and efficiently run. A system of punch card tickets is in place and tickets covering travel for the entire day can be purchased. Maps of the bus routes can be found at the tourist offices and information desks at the train and coach stations.

Getting around Bologna by taxi is an expensive way to travel. It is best to book in advance or use the taxi ranks as they rarely stop to pick up passengers in the street. English speaking chauffeur driven limousines are also available.

The train station in Bologna is known as Bologna Centrale and can be found in the northern part of the city at Piazza Medaglie d'Oro. The Eurostar service is a high-speed link to other major Italian cities, while for connections outside of Italy, try the EuroCity service.

Bologna International Airport is located four miles northeast of the city. There are two passenger terminals, with Terminal A handling arrivals and domestic and European departures and Terminal B handling international departures.
